Reef Escape sandal collection has named Oscar-nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld its new spokesmodel. She shot the Reef Escape’s Spring/Summer 2017 campaign at Milk Studios in Los Angeles with celebrity and fashion photographer Yu Tsai. Steinfeld commented in a statement: . “I love the Reef Escape collection because they are cute, comfortable and fun to pair with different outfits. Mixing California beach style with my personal style shows just how versatile these sandals are.”
Steinfeld is best known for her roles in 2010’s “True Grit” (for which she received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress”), 2013’s “Romeo and Juliet,” 2015’s “Pitch Perfect 2” and 2016’s “The Edge of Seventeen.” She is also singer; her “Haiz” EP was released in 2015.
Iris Mittenaere, Miss France 2016, was crowned Miss Universe at the 65th Miss Universe pageant, which was held at Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines on January 29, 2017. Fox had the U.S. telecast of the show, which was once again hosted by Steve Harvey. Model/activist Ashley Graham served as backstage host. Flo Rida and and Boyz II Men performed at the event.
The first runner-up was Raquel Pelissier from Haiti. The second runner-up was Andrea Tovar from Colombia. The remaining contestants in the top six were Mary Esther Were from Kenya; Maxine Medina from the Philippines ; and Chalita Suansane from Thailand.
The judges who helped crown Miss Universe included:
Cynthia Bailey: Former model and founder of The Bailey Agency School of Fashion, a modeling and fashion school dedicated to helping young women achieve their dreams; current cast member on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
Mickey Boardman: Editorial Director and advice columnist for Paper magazine.
Leila Lopes: First Miss Universe from Angola and former United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for Desertification; currently working with various charitable organizations in Africa.
Francine LeFrak: Emmy and Tony Award-winning producer, social entrepreneur, women’s empowerment activist and founder of Same Sky, an initiative that provides training and employment to HIV+ women survivors of the Rwandan genocide.
Sushmita Sen: Bollywood actress, philanthropist and champion of women’s rights in India; founder of I AM Foundation; and first-ever Miss Universe from India.
Dayanara Torres: Former UNICEF ambassador, writer, singer, model, actress and former Miss Universe from Puerto Rico.

Skin Laundry has signed a deal to make Sephora the skincare brand’s first retail partner. The company’s products became available on Sephora.com as of January 24, 2017, and at Sephora locations in the U.S. on January 27, 2017. Skin Laundry will be available at Sephora in Canada in the spring of 2017.
The Skin Laundry products available at Sephora include Gentle Foaming Face Wash, named one of the “Best Beauty Products of 2016” by British Vogue; Essential Daily Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF35, a top pick by Refinery29 for acne-prone skin; the SleepCycle Pillowcase, recognized by Allure for its ability to positively transform hair and skin; and the Hydrating Radiance Facial Treatment Mask, voted one of the “Best Sheet Masks for Your Face” by Good Housekeeping.

Guerlain Parfumeur has signed a spokesmodel deal with Oscar-winning actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie for a new women’s fragrance whose name is to be announced. According to a Guerlain press release, Jacques Guerlain “drew his inspiration from Angelina Jolie to create a fragrance expressing the idea of the ‘notes of a woman’: the choices, emotions and dreams that embody modern femininity.
“The partnership between Angelina and Guerlain was agreed in Cambodia in December 2015, where she was directing her film ‘First They Killed My Father. ‘ It has its roots, however, in Angelina’s childhood memory of her own mother’s love of a Guerlain powder. Jolie has donated her entire salary from the Guerlain campaign to charity.”
Jolie, who began her career in the entertainment industry as a model, has previously been a spokesmodel for Armani and Shiseido.

During the first three months of 2017, select Nordstrom stores in North America will have [email protected], a three-part shop in a series of pop-up shops inspired Korean fashion and beauty.
For January, the series will feature Korean eyewear company Gentle Monster. February will showcase K-Beauty. March will have Korean fashion brands curated by Nordstrom vice president of creative projects Olivia Kim.
According to a Nordstrom press release: “For the launch, Pop-In partnered with the Gentle Monster team to produce unique virtual-reality and 360 video content that allows customers to explore the experience in Gentle Monster flagship stores in Shanghai, Nonhyeon-dong and Bukchon stores in Seoul, South Korea, as well as the Downtown Seattle Nordstrom Pop-In shop.”

PRAI Beauty has teamed up with HSN for a “Not Just a Pretty Face” spokesmodel search in which the winner will get grand prize package that includes a live on-air appearance and exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at HSN, as well as dinner with PRAI global creative director Nigel Barker and PRAI founder/CEO Cathy Kangas. PRAI Beauty will also donate $500 to the charity of the winner’s choice. The prize includes roundtrip airfare and accommodations for two to Tampa, Florida (where HSN is headquartered) and one year’s worth of PRAI Beauty products. Two runner-ups will receive $250 worth of the brand’s products.
Kangas commented in a statement: “We’re about making all women look and feel beautiful. We’re launching a nationwide search for a woman who is 40 and older and who embraces the concept of giving back to her community … someone with true beauty from the inside out. At PRAI Beauty, we believe that doing good is just as important as looking and feeling good, so we donate a portion of proceeds and our time to animal charities around the world.”
Barker, Kangas, and HSN host Amy Morrison will judge the contest, which closes on March 1, 2017. They will select three finalists, who will then be posted on the PRAI Beauty Facebook page for voting March 6 to 10, 2017. The winner will be announced on-air at HSN on or around March 16, 2017, and will appear as the new face of PRAI Beauty on a show in April.
To enter two photographs (a headshot and profile photo) of the contestant must be sent, and the following question answered in 200 words or fewer, in English: “At PRAI Beauty, we are ‘not just a pretty face.’ We are passionate about animal welfare and donate a portion of our proceeds, as well as our time, to animal charities around the world. Tell us why someone might say you are ‘not just a pretty face.'”
Century 21, a New York-based chain of retail stores that sells designer wear at discount prices, has opened its first location outside of the Northeast. The 85,000-square foot store—which launched on December 16, 2016—is in Sunrise Florida, at Sawgrass Mills, a Simon Center.
The Century 21 in Sunrise has departments for men, women, children, shoes, accessories, fine jewelry, cosmetics (including an in-store MAC Cosmetics) and home departments. The store also has the C21-On-1 Stylist Program, providing guests the opportunity to book a free one-on-one appointment with a fashion stylist. C21 has also partnered with LXR&Co. to offer an exclusive collection of vintage designer handbags, accessories, jewelry and watches.
The Sunrise location is one of several business expansions for Century 21. In October 2016, the retailer opened a location at City Point in Brooklyn, New York. In September 2016, Century 21 teamed up with Alliance Data Systems Corporation for a long-term agreement to provide private label credit card services for Century 21. In 2018, Century 21 will open at the entertainment destination American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Singer and actress Selena Gomez has signed a deal to represent the accessories/lifestyle brand Coach, She will appear in Coach’s fall 2017 fashion campaign. Her partnership with Coach will also include a special design project with Coach executive creative director Stuart Vevers, as well Gomez teaming up with Coach Foundation in its support of Step Up, a national organization dedicated to the empowerment of underprivileged teenage girls.

Kathy Ireland Worldwide and PPI Apparel Group have extended their partnership for Kathy Ireland Intimates & Sleepwear through 2023. The upcoming collections will have expansion in girls’ apparel and the launch of an underwear line for men called I’M1. PPI Apparel Group and Kathy Ireland Worldwide first debuted Kathy Ireland Intimates & Sleepwear in spring 2012. The two companies recently celebrated a milestone of $100 million in sales.
In addition, Kathy Ireland Worldwide has expanded and extended its partnership through 2022 with Pacific Coast Lighting, one of the largest decorative lighting manufacturers in the United States. The two companies are sell Kathy Ireland-branded lamps and lighting fixtures.
