Hard Rock International Chairman & CEO, Jim Allen, announced that June 28, 2018 is the Grand Opening date for the highly-anticipated Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. This announcement included a star-studded entertainment lineup with more than 50 shows and events that will go on sale Friday, April 20.  This unprecedented event will create sound waves for the coastal town with over 200 nights of music, ranging from A-list artists, epic bands and headlining comedians. The unveiling of the Grand Opening date along with the all-star lineup and the hotel reservations announcements were revealed simultaneously at a three-city press conference in New York City, Philadelphia, Atlantic City.

 “The Grand Opening of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City will set the tone for a new era of entertainment in Atlantic City. Our 500 million dollar, newly reimagined property will offer something for everyone and we’re thrilled to welcome our first guests in June,” stated Hard Rock International Chairman & CEO, Jim Allen.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City will be the new go-to destination for world-class entertainment, rock-star service and their signature legendary vibe. The music-inspired hotel will feature dynamic culinary experiences, superstar performances, sporting events, a beach bar and a spectacular casino complete with more than 2,100 slot machines and 120 table games. The entertainment lineup set to kick off the summer will include A-list talent and performances, such as Amy Schumer and Friends, Florida Georgia Line, Kid Rock plus over 50 shows and events booked for the new casino resort.

On any given day of the year, musical talent will include artists that are leading the music scene across the nation. From Country artists like Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith and Trace Adkins to Broadway sensations, such as Rock of Ages and Million Dollar Quartet, guests will have access to a variety of genres. Legendary artists like Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and rock favorites such as Pat BenatarNeil Giraldo and Rick Springfield, Steely Dan and Stone Temple Pilots with Bush & The Cult will all set the stage at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.

Hard Rock in Atlantic City unveils renovation designs and plans

Hard Rock International has announced the completed acquisition as well as unveiled plans for the launch and significant redevelopment of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.

The former Taj Mahal building will undergo an all-encompassing $375 million renovation and reopen in summer 2018. The upcoming Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City is situated on 17 acres of prime Boardwalk real estate, offering vast views of the city and Atlantic Ocean.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City will offer a range of gaming opportunities with 2,400 slots and 130 table games. Additionally, the casino will boast an entirely redesigned interior with first-class food and beverage concepts. Hard Rock Cafe Atlantic City will move to a new 400-seat venue, including an improved stage and central location within the property featuring beach access. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City will become the premier entertainment destination with live music, sporting events, conferences and shows with two separate arenas offering more than 7,000 seats total.

The entrance of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City will be completely reimagined, beginning with updating the existing facades along Pacific Avenue, at the resort entry, porte cochére and along the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a new check in experience and lobby lounge. Guestrooms and suites will undergo a complete renovation and redesign to offer lavishly appointed rooms in a setting that is anything but uptight. Meeting space will be updated to accommodate both large conventions and smaller events.

A full-service spa will feature relaxing and recharging treatments, and The Sound of Your Stay music amenity program will offer complimentary in-room Fender guitar checkouts. With Hard Rock International’s standing as curators of the world’s largest and most priceless music memorabilia collection, the property’s design will feature museum-like displays adorning the walls. Memorabilia for the hotel will be carefully hand-selected with a focus on contemporary musicians and artists who call New Jersey home.

Hard Rock Hotel Malta to open in 2020

Hard Rock International has announced plans to open Hard Rock Hotel Malta in 2020. According to a Hard Rock press release, the resort will have 370 guest rooms, including 110 suites offering balcony views. The upcoming project will be part of a new mix-used development called db City Centre, which includes a shopping mall, luxury residences and modern office spaces, in St. George’s Bay, St. Julian’s. Hard Rock Hotel Malta is being developed in collaboration with the Malta-based Seabank Group, a partner of Hard Rock for more than 15 years.

The press release also says that the Hard Rock Hotel Malta “will pay homage to the 19th century British military accommodation quarters building which will be a key feature of the project’s design and layout. Prior to opening, the historic site will be restored to its original glory.”

The hotel’s amenities will include:

  • Various high-end food and beverage establishments, including a multi-course signature restaurant and a rooftop lounge complete with Skybar.
  • Numerous pools
  • Rock Spa, a 16,000-square-foot full-service spa
  • Body Rock, a state-of-the-art fitness center
  • More than 37,000 square feet of planned function space, including the largest convention center on the island.

Hard Rock Malta is part of Hard Rock International’s ongoing expansion plans. In January 2017, the company launched Hard Rock Japan LLC and appointed Edward Tracy as CEO of the company’s new division, which aims major contender among the bidders for resort licenses in Japan, due to the recent passing of Japan’s Integrated Resorts Promotion Bill.
