Miami Airport Marriott offers 20 percent discount for reservations booked online

Miami Airport Marriott is offering up to a 20 percent discount on reservations booked online until February 28, 2017, for a minimum two-night stay on any stay taking place at the hotel during December 20, 2016, to April 30, 2017. Reservations must be booked at least seven days in advance.

Located two miles from Miami International Airport, the hotel has 362 guest rooms, five suites, a fitness center, outdoor pool, three restaurants, three concierge levels and 16 meeting rooms totaling 17,878 square feet.

In addition,  the hotel has added a new in-room entertainment package to each of its accommodations. Visitors now have access to Internet TV,  allowing guests to stream their personal Netflix, Hulu, Crackle, Pandora and YouTube accounts straight to the hotel’s flat-panel TVs. Additionally, a TED Talks channel will be available exclusively for Marriott guests, putting thousands of idea-inspiring speeches in more than 100 languages right at their fingertips. An interactive channel banner makes it simple to switch seamlessly between internet TV and regular cable channels, ensuring a user-friendly experience for all viewers.

Key Largo Bay Marriott Beach Resort at 103800 Overseas Highway, MM 103.8 in Key Largo, Florida, has unveiled extensive renovations. The revamp includes a newly redesigned lobby, new locally inspired decor and a recently modernized hotel spa. The resort has 133 rooms, 20 suites,  an outdoor pool, a fitness center and three different hotel restaurants/bars: Gus Grille (for a romantic dinner with a memorable view) and the more casual Breezer’s Tiki Bar and Flipper’s Pool Ba. The hotel also has eight event rooms totaling 10,932 square feet of space and a maximum capacity of 350 attendees in the largest space.

SpringHill Suites Cincinnati Midtown  has undergone extensive renovations that that upgraded the hotel’s guest rooms and public spaces. The multi-million dollar renovations include new carpeting, bedding, floor tile, curtains, paint, wall vinyl, artwork and soft seating furniture. Located at 610 Eden Park Drive in Cincinnati, the hotel has 122 suites and is adjacent to the Baldwin Center and just five minutes from downtown Cincinnati.

In partnership with West Elm, the hotel is redesigned with touches of cool blues and sleek greys in the guest rooms and vibrant yellow and bronze in the lobby. Each hotel suite includes a spacious seating area with trundle sofa sleeper, mini-fridge and microwave. Rooms also include features that provide guests the ability to work while on the road including a well-lit work desk and complimentary high-speed WiFi.

Element Chandler Fashion Center hotel debuts in Arizona

Element Chandler Fashion Center has opened at 44 South Chandler Village Drive in Chandler, Arizona.  It marks the debut of Marriott’s eco-conscious Element brand in Arizona. The hotel, which is located next to the Chandler Fashion Center, has 107 guest rooms, 600 square feet of meeting space, a Bikes to Borrow program (which offers guests complimentary bikes along with a local trail map), a 24-hour fitness center, a heated outdoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi.

Food and drink options for guests include the free Rise breakfast stocked with smoothies and granola; the free Relax evening wine reception; and the Restore gourmet pantry. Studios and one-bedroom suites have modular furniture, fully equipped kitchens, and spa-inspired bathrooms and the signature Heavenly Bed. Accessible through the both Santan Freeway and Loop 101 Price Freeway, the hotel is 17 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

JW Marriott Hotels opens its first location in Singapore

JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts has opened JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach, the brand’s first hotel in Singapore.  Located near the Marina Bay entertainment and business districts, the hotel (which has 634 guest rooms) was designed by Philippe Starck and has architecture from Foster and Partners. JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach officially debuted on December 15, 2016.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a 23-foot-tall video wall installation by South Korean artist Lee Lee Nam that brings art to life through movement and technology with the use of the LED monitors as a canvas to create an artistic symphony.

In addition, JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach has nine dining concepts:  Akira Back, by celebrity chef Akira Back, which offers modern Japanese cuisine with Korean accents and culinary influences from around the world; Beach Road Kitchen, an all-day-dining restaurant, serving global cuisine and to-go items; Court Martial Bar and Media Bar, offering cocktails in refined lounge and gastropub settings; and Tonic, serving gin-based cocktails in an intimate environment. The remaining four outlets will open in the second quarter of 2017.

There are also 17 meeting rooms/venues totaling more than 5,6300 square feet, including the 1,706-square-foot Grand Ballroom that has a dramatic 11,520-light Forest of Lights design by Starck; two sky gardens; two outdoor pools; a 10-room Spa by JW (opening second quarter 2017); and Flow18 fitness center.

Marriott Hotel opens in Ithaca, New York

Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons has opened at 120 South Aurora Street in Ithaca, New York. The hotel, which is a joint venture between Urgo Hotels & Resorts and Ensemble Hotel Partners, is a 10-story building with 159 rooms.  The hotel has a newly renovated pedestrian indoor and outdoor mixed-use development and entertainment district anchoring the downtown core, the hotel is less than a mile from Cornell University and about one mile from Ithaca College.

Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons is managed  by Urgo Hotels & Resorts. The hotel has 2,320 square feet of meeting and event space. The largest is the Gorges Ballroom, which can hold 175 for receptions.

Wailea Beach Resort – Marriott, Maui unveils $100 million transformation

Wailea Beach Resort – Marriott, Maui has revealed its $100 transformation. The changes to the Hawaii resort include a re-imagined arrival experience; six new dining options, including Humble Market Kitchin by Roy Yamaguchi; three new distinct pool environments; and 547 redesigned rooms and suites; and the modernization of all indoor/outdoor meeting and event spaces, fitness center and spa.

Here are details about the changes at the resort:

Redesigned Rooms

Each room now has new furnishings and enhanced in-room technology, including personal device mirror-casting, custom music streaming, and personalized Netflix and Hulu content. Every room has an outdoor lanai (balcony), while 62 ground floor rooms feature extended lanais, offering guests a seamless indoor/outdoor living experience.

Dining Destinations

Humble Market Kitchin by Roy Yamaguchi has an internationally influenced, Hawaiian-inspired menu. Perched on one of the highest points at the property, the resort’s signature restaurant offers indoor/outdoor dining, panoramic ocean views and a design influenced by the surrounding mountains and enchanting sea.

Kapa Bar & Grill is for guests who want to gather poolside with captivating views of the ocean. The menu, is inspired by Hawaii’s natural and sustainable resource. The vibrant bar and lounge features entertainment amenities such as billiards, shuffleboard, gaming stations and large screen TVs.

Whale’s Tale is a casual beach bar that offers morning and afternoon refreshments  and evening craft cocktails.

Mo Bettah Food Truck and Nalu Pool Bar have grab-and-go options, kid-friendly favorites and local treats, such shaved ice and poke.

Pool Amenities

Nalu Adventure Pool is a new, two-acre pool complex offers a fun-filled experience for families and kids of all ages. This pool area has four water slides, two of which measure 240 feet and 325 feet respectively, with the latter dropping five-and-half stories and measuring as the longest water slide of any resort in Hawaii. There is also new interactive splash zone, with water guns, spraying sea mammal sculptures and bubblers.    Nalu Adventure Pool has Dive Pool, a distinct space for scuba certification, diving, snorkeling and other water-sports instruction.

Maluhia Serenity Pool, for adults only, has over-water private cabanas, casabellas for two and luxury chaise lounges. The iconic space holds multi-level pool decks and presents unobstructed panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.

‘Ohi Pools: The resort’s two new oceanfront pools have two whirlpool spas and numerous ocean-view cabanas surround the pools and present an ideal way to reconnect with the water.

Meeting and Event Space

New and modern event spaces offer 30,000 square feet of indoor meeting and function space, along with 72,000 square feet of outdoor event space, including the Makai Oceanview Ballroom. Each event space has enhanced Wi-Fi and a dedicated team that can customize audiovisual needs for each event.
