The Weeknd, Diddy, French Montana, Diddy and Rae Sremmurd have been added to lineup of the 2017 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Details of their set list dates and times are to be announced. The annual festival takes place this year from April 14 to April 16 and April 21 to April 23 at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California.
As previously reported, YouTube will once again have live streaming from Coachella during the festival’s first weekend. Radiohead, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar are the headliners this year.
The Weeknd and Selena Gomez, who began publicly dating in January 2017, have already been spotted at the Coachella Festival. The couple was also seen April 12 at a Beverly Hills birthday for rapper Belly.

SESAC hosted its 21st annual Pop Awards at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City on April 13, 2017. SESAC’s Charli XCX (PRS) was named Songwriter of the Year and earned the Song of the Year award for penning the chart-topping “Same Old Love,” recorded by Selena Gomez. Sony ATV Sounds was named Publisher of the Year. In addition to this year, Charli XCX was honored in 2014 with SESAC Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year for the hit “I Love It,” recorded by Icona Pop feat. Charli XCX. Most recently, Charli XCX released the ten-song mixtape “Angel” to rave reviews, with one critic saying the artist continues to be “the one to watch.”
Sirius XM radio host Bevy Smith, Rolling Stone contributing editor Joe Levy and veteran entertainment journalist John Norris served as presenters during the awards show, which featured a performance by Jaheim of “Struggle Love,” written by SESAC honoree Bale’Wa Muhammad.
Headlining the evening with a lively and unforgettable performance was SESAC Legacy Award recipient George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic. The founder of iconic rap group Public Enemy, Mr. Chuck D, presented George Clinton with the SESAC Legacy Award.
City National Bank was the premiere sponsor of the event and the Viceroy NYC served as the hotel sponsor of the 2017 Pop Awards.

The following is a press release from CMA Music Festival:
With nearly 150 acts already set to perform at the 2017 CMA Music Festival across four stages, CMA announced lineups for two additional free stages: The brand new Budweiser “Forever Country” Park Stage in the park space behind Ascend Amphitheater, which will feature some of the biggest names in Country Music from recent decades; and the Music City Stage, located in the Nashville Visitor Center at Bridgestone Arena, a cool spot to enjoy some of Country’s hottest rising stars. CMA Music Festival takes place Thursday through Sunday, June 8-11, in downtown Nashville.
“We focus on programming unforgettable performances on every stage and thank our returning partners for helping us to do that, while also offering unique activities and experiences for fans,” said CMA Chief Executive Officer Sarah Trahern.
Performances on the Budweiser “Forever Country” Park Stage will take place from 11:00 AM-4:45 PM/CT daily during the Festival. The lineup includes Jeff Bates, Bellamy Brothers, John Berry, Mark Chesnutt, Confederate Railroad, George Ducas, Emerson Drive, Exile, Andy Griggs, Ty Herndon, “Honky Tonkin’ with Tracy Lawrence and Friends”, Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, Little Texas, Lonestar, Mila Mason, Terry McBride, Rick Monroe, Jamie O’Neal, James Otto, Danielle Peck, Trick Pony, Collin Raye, Restless Heart, Julie Roberts, Ray Scott, Shenandoah, Doug Supernaw, Rhonda Vincent and Daryle Singletary, Lari White, Mark Wills, and Darryl Worley.
Fans will enjoy rewinding the clock with many of Country’s most established acts from the ‘80s, ‘90s, and ‘00s. Bellamy Brothers, Exile, and Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers debuted at CMA Music Festival in the early to mid-‘80s. While this marks McBride’s first solo appearance at the Festival, he made his CMA Fest debut with McBride & The Ride in 1990. White and Supernaw last appeared at CMA Fest in ’95 and ’96, respectively.
Festival attendees often enjoy hours of jam-packed fun in the sun, but the Nashville Visitor Center inside Bridgestone Arena will be the coolest place to take in performances during the Festival. As the location of the Nashville Convention and Visitor Corp’s Music City Stage, it’s the only FREE, air-conditioned, indoor Festival stage, offering fans a convenient place to escape the June heat while still catching the entertainment CMA Music Festival is known for.
Performances on the Music City Stage will take place from 11:00 AM-4:40 PM/CT daily during the Festival. The lineup for Thursday through Saturday includes Jimmie Allen, Sammy Arriaga, Kassi Ashton, Maggie Baugh, Brennley Brown, Brian Callihan, Dallas Caroline, Jessie Chris, Julia Cole, Nora Collins, Dalton & the Sheriffs, Shelly Fairchild, Kenny Foster, Livy Jeanne, Jessie Key, Colm Kirwan, McCoy, Tristan McIntosh, Megan & Liz, Native Run, Camille Rae, Mary Sarah, Zach Seabaugh, CJ Solar, Scott Stevens, Sweet Tea Trio, Mitchell Tenpenny, The Hootz, Kasey Tyndall, and James Robert Webb.
On Sunday, ASCAP Presents at the Music City Stage will showcase artists ranging from fresh-faced new talent to emerging songwriter-artists boasting publishing or record deals and recent tours with major label acts. Performers include Raquel Cole, Crooked King, Dorado, Adam Hambrick, Lucas Hoge, Martin McDaniel, Post Monroe, Brandon Ratcliff, Sarah Allison Turner, and Anna Vaus.

CMA Music Festival will once again be filmed for a national television special to air on the ABC Television Network. Grammy-winning star Mariah Carey has partnered with Sony Music’s Epic Records to launch Butterfly MC Records. Carey has been signed to Epic since 2015. Terms of the agreement call for additional repertoire by the artist, beginning with a new studio album expected later this year.
Epic Records chairman/CEO Antonio “L.A. Reid,” who signed Carey to Epic, has a long history with Carey. When he was chairman of Universal Music’s Island Def Jam, he helped mastermind her 2005 album “The Emancipation of Mimi,” which included her blockbuster hit “We Belong Together.” Prior to signing with Island in 2002, Carey had a short-lived stint at Virgin Records, which released her “Glitter” soundtrack album in 2001. She started her recording career in 1990 with Sony Music’s Columbia Records, which was then headed by her first ex-husband, Tommy Mottola.
Reid commented in a press release: “To continue working with Mariah Carey at Epic has been another rewarding chapter of my career. Mariah’s incomparable talents as a singer, with her vocal range that is nothing short of legendary, are matched by her brilliance as a songwriter, producer, and performer par excellence. Mariah’s chart records have established her enduring place in music history, a position that is cherished and supported by her loyal fans worldwide. Carey added, “I am putting my heart and soul into making more new music,” said Mariah. “I am so thrilled for this next chapter and to continue working with, and for, everyone that I love.”
In 2016, Carey launched her first Las Vegas residency, did a successful world tour, and starred in a reality show called “Mariah’s World,” which got mixed reviews and mediocre ratings. Her personal life has also been in the news. Her divorce from second husband Nick Cannon was finalized in November 2016, around the same time her engagement to Australian businessman James Packer ended. She then moved on to her backup dancer Bryan Tanaka, but several media outlets are reporting that the romance has also ended after Carey and Tanaka dated each other for about five months. The ex-couple reportedly split because he was jealous of Carey’s close relationship with Cannon. The former spouses share custody of their twins Monroe and Moroccan.
Carey is doing a North American tour with Lionel Richie in the summer of 2017, after the tour was postponed this spring due to Richie having to recover from a knee injury.

Ultra Worldwide, the international arm of the Ultra Music Festival for other electronic music, has added events in Australia, China, Ibiza and India. The 19th annual Ultra Music Festival took place March 24-26, 2017, at Bayfront Park in Miami and attracted over 165,000 people, according to Ultra.

Australia
Road to Ultra will be in Melbourne in February, 2018. Following the first event in Melbourne in 2018, organizers can also reveal that full-scale Ultra festivals take place in both Sydney and Melbourne in 2019. More details will be released over the coming months.
China
Ultra will go to Shanghai for the first-ever edition of Ultra China, on September 9 and September 10, 2017. A full-blown two-day festival, this will mark the first time an independent and international festival brand produces an event of this magnitude in the region. Ibiza
Ultra Worldwide’s house and techno brand Resistance will be heading to Ibiza for an eight week residency at the world’s biggest club, Privilege, this summer, with an exclusive six-week residency spearheaded by Sasha & John Digweed. The brand’s first official foray onto the island, Resistance will run every Tuesday from July 25 until the official closing party on September 12, 2017. With 22 nominations each, hip-hop artist Drake and electronic pop duo the Chainsmokers have tied for the record of having the most Billboard Music Award nominations in a single year. Both acts are up for the Top Artist prize at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, which will take place May 21 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. ABC will have the U.S. telecast at 8 p.m. Eastern Time/5 p.m. Pacific Time.
Coming in second place in nominations are Twenty One Pilots, who received 17 nods. Rihanna is in third place, with 14 nominations, followed by Drake with 13 nominations. The complete list of nominations is at the end of this article.
According to a press release, the Billboard Music Awards nominees are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring and social engagement. These measurements are tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. The 32nd Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony—which took place April 7, 2017, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York—featured several on-stage reunions for inductees such as Journey, Yes and Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), which have all had numerous lineup changes over the years. Highlights of the show will be televised in a special that premieres on HBO on April 29, 2017, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. An exhibit for the 2017 inductees went on display March 31 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. More than 900 voters picked inductees, according to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Artists are eligible for inclusion 25 years after the release of their first recording.
Here’s a rundown of the ceremony:
ELO

Band members inducted: Jeff Lynne, Bev Bevan, Roy Wood, Richard Tandy. (Tandy and Bevan did not attend the ceremony for reasons that have not been publicly disclosed.)
Inducted by: Dhani Harrison, son of George Harrison. ELO leader Jeff Lynne worked with George Harrison several times as a producer and as a fellow member of the Traveling Wilburys.
Songs performed: “Roll Over Beethoven,” “Evil Woman,” “Mr. Blue Sky”
One of ELO’s earliest hits was the band’s 1972 cover version of Chuck Berry’s “Roll Over Beethoven,” so it was fitting that the band played the song as a tribute to Berry who died on March 18, 2017, at the age of 90. Lynne accepted the induction award on stage with ELO co-founder Roy Wood, who quit the band in 1972, a year after the band’s first album was released. Wood and Lynne have not appeared on stage together in decades. Wood, however, did not perform at the ceremony.
Lynne has been recording and touring as the leader of Jeff Lynne’s ELO since 2014. Tandy is a member of Jeff Lynne’s ELO, while Bevan formed the spinoff band ELO Part II in the 1980s, after ELO’s most successful lineup disbanded. ELO has been revived off and on over the years; there was a short-lived revival in 2001 and the group was revived again in 2014, with Lynne and Tandy as the only original members.
Joan Baez

Inducted by: Snoop Dogg, who used to be on the same record label as Shakur, who was murdered in 1996.
Songs performed: Several artists did a tribute medley of Shakur songs. Alicia Keys performed “I Ain’t Mad Atcha.” “Dear Mama” and “Changes,” while Snoop Dogg and YG performed “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted.” Treach of Naughty by Nature then did “Hail Mary,” while T.I. performed “Keep Ya Head Up.”
Journey

Band members inducted: Steve Perry, Neal Schon, Gregg Rolie, Ross Valory, Aynsley Dunbar, Steve Smith, Jonathan Cain. All of them attended the ceremony.
Inducted by: Pat Monahan, lead singer of Train, another successful rock band from San Francisco.
Ex-Journey singer Perry, who left the band in 1987, gave an emotional speech, in which he thanked the fans: “Speaking of fans, you’re the one who put us here. You’re the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.” Perry did not perform with Journey at the ceremony, but former Journey keyboardist Rolie joined the band on stage for “Lights,” which Journey dedicated to Perry. Journey’s current lineup consists of lead singer Arnel Pineda, guitarist Schon, keyboardist Cain, bassist Valory and drummer Smith.
Nile Rodgers
Inducted by: Pharrell Williams, who worked with Rodgers on the Daft Punk album “Random Access Memories.”
Rodgers, a Grammy-winning producer and founder of Chic, was given the Award for Musical Excellence. The rest of the artists were inducted in the Performers category.
Prince tribute

Prince died on April 21, 2016, 12 days after the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony that year. A tribute to Prince was done for the 2017 ceremony. Lenny Kravitz performed the Prince songs “When Doves Cry” and “The Cross.”
Pearl Jam
Members inducted: Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Matt Cameron, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, Dave Krusen. All of them attended the ceremony.
Inducted by: David Letterman, who substituted for the originally announced presenter Neil Young.
Songs performed: “Alive,” “Better Man,” “Given to Fly,” “Rockin’ in the Free World.” Former Pearl Jam drummer Krusen joined Pearl Jam on stage to perform “Alive.” For “Rockin’ in the Free World,” Pearl Jam was joined on stage Yes’ Trevor Rabin; Rush’s Lee, Lifeson and Neil Peart; and Journey’s Schon and Cain.

The daily lineup has been announced for the 13th Annual Mountain Jam Music Festival, held June 16-18, 2017, in Hunter Mountain, New York. A packed lineup will perform on the various stages each day of Mountain Jam 2017 as well as inside the Empire State Tap House, a new-for-this-year American craft beer experience, located inside what was known as Colonel’s Hall on the festival grounds.

The interactive experience Heineken House is making its return to 2017 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which will take place April 14 to April 16 and April 21 to April 23 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Fresh off his work on Kendrick Lamar’s latest album, George Clinton & The Parliament Funkadelic will play a full two-hour set on April 15 only. Other Heineken House exclusive performances include Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, TWRK, Chris Lake, DJ Sliink, DJ Nu Mark and BJ the Kid.

The Heineken House, open to festival goers ages 21 and over, is more than just unforgettable and legendary musical performances and experiences. For the second year in a row, the House boasts a Sustainable Dance Floor powered by the movement of the attendees during each set. Kinetic energy created when attendees bust a move will be converted into electricity used to power the LED lights of the floor, creating a unique party atmosphere. The more house-goers dance, the more the house will light up.
When not listening to music, a Digital Art Wall inside the Heineken House is dedicated to bringing to life the creative spirit of the festival. The interactive simulation area that allows House visitors to create custom art with a selected stencil, or tag a selfie with a spray can. Coachella attendees will then be able to email their artwork as a souvenir or share on their social channels.
New this year to the Heineken House at Coachella is “This One Is On Us”, an initiative launched in the United States for the first time in March. Consumers can visit a water bar in the Heineken House to receive free cups of water throughout the entire duration of the festival. By encouraging moderate drinking, we can enable festival attendees to get the most out of their festival experience, compliments of Heineken.
“This One Is On Us” debuted for the first time in 2016 and is part of Heineken’s commitment to Brewing a Better World, by offering initiatives that make responsible consumption and sustainable practices easier, accessible and more relevant to our fans.”
Heineken Cold Storage returns to the Festival camping ground this year with its enhanced delivery service format. With Cold Storage On-Demand, campers’ cold beer will be stored for them and then delivered directly to their campsites by messengers when they are ready for it. Taking advantage of Heineken Cold Storage also makes campers eligible for other on-site perks including prizes, beverage tickets or front-of-line access during a performance of their choice at Heineken House.
To participate in Heineken Cold Storage, campers aged 21 and up can drop off their beverages and register for the text message based service. Beverages will be delivered daily from 12-7p.m. and all requests must be submitted no later than 6 p.m. They can also schedule ahead of time by visiting this website.

The third annual Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival has announced its full lineup, which includes Justin Timberlake, Eddie Vedder, Ryan Adams, The Avett Brothers. The event takes place at The Park at Harlinsdale in Franklin, Tennessee, on September 23 and 24, 2017.
Passes are now on sale. The 2-Day Pilgrimage passes are $175 (U.S. dollars) each, while the 2-Day INFINITI VIP Village passes are $725 each. The INFINITI VIP Village pass includes VIP parking, stage front viewing, open bars, culinary experience and are available while limited supplies last. On-site parking passes are available for $35. Children under 10 get free admission when accompanied by an adult Pilgrimage Pass.
The Pilgrimage Foundation, the festival’s non-profit arm, will donate a portion of each ticket sale will also benefit the City of Franklin and Friends of Franklin Parks. In addition, a portion of ticket sales will also benefit MusiCares, a non-profit organization that was established by The Recording Academy to provide a wide range of emergency financial assistance and addiction recovery resources to members of the music community.
