The Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One (NYCWFF) returns for its 12th annual edition this Fall, taking over the Big Apple October 10 – 13, 2019.  With more than 80 events taking place at locations throughout the city, 100% of the net proceeds from the Festival support its mission to EAT. DRINK. END HUNGER. with Food Bank For New York City and No Kid Hungry®.  This year’s program highlights a mix of tastings, dinners, brunches, late-night parties and more; accented by a returning selection of family-friendly offerings to keep fans of all ages engaged throughout the weekend.

Mark the calendar: Capital One cardholders will enjoy exclusive presale access to tickets for all NYCWFF events from June 10 – 23. Capital One cardholders will also have access to purchase tickets for the following cardholder-only events while they are available:

  • Dinner hosted by Jean-Georges Vongerichten on Thursday, October 10
  • Dinner hosted by Hugh Acheson and Michael Anthony on Friday, October 11

This year, the Festival’s signature evening, large-format tasting events move to Hudson River Park’s Pier 97, and include the following line-up of new and returning themes:

  • One of America’s most beloved morning show personalities has gathered his whole crew to kick-off the weekend at Elvis Duran’s Taste of New York hosted by Elvis Duran & the Z100 Morning Show on Thursday, October 10, celebrating his favorite New York City restaurants and the launch of his first book Where Do I Begin?: Stories from a Life Lived Out Loud (Atria Books, October 2019).
  • Friday, October 11 marks the return of the Blue Moon Burger Bash presented by Pat LaFrieda Meats hosted by Rachael Ray, the iconic battle of burgers that will also commemorate the release of Rachael Ray 50: Memories and Meals from a Sweet and Savory Life: A Cookbook (Ballantine Books, October 2019).
  • A carnivorous dreamland awaits fans at the Titans of BBQ presented by Pat LaFrieda Meats hosted by Dario Cecchini, Michael Symon and Pat LaFrieda on Saturday, October 12.
  • The Festival will close-out with a Sunday Brunch hosted by Marc Murphy & Devour Power on October 13.

A highly decorated roster of chefs anchors the line-up for the Festival’s intimate, wine-driven Bank of America Dinner Series.  This includes celebrated talent and personalities such as Elena Arzak, Daniel Boulud, Action Bronson, Scott Conant, Hélèn Darroze, Rocco DiSpirito, Marc Forgione, Stephanie Izard, Angie Mar, Marcus Samuelsson, Fabio Trabocchi, Michael Voltaggio, Jonathan Waxman, Michael White, among others.  Plus, interactive learning experiences in highly specialized areas return with a variety of master classes set to take place, including macarons hosted by Ladurée, cocktails hosted by Broken Shaker, pizza hosted by Pizza Loves Emily, Israeli kitchen staples hosted by Adeena Sussman, and more.  Night owls will relish in the variety of late-night soirées this year, kicking off at A Night at José Andrés’s Mercado Little Spain and continuing throughout the weekend at Flashback Friday hosted by Rev Run with special appearance by Angela Yee, Tacos & Tequila hosted by Rick Bayless, RockTails hosted by Robert Irvine, Sweets ‘n Beats hosted by Buddy Valastro, and Tiki Showdown hosted by Anne Burrell.

Museum of Ice Cream celebrates National Ice Cream Day with ‘ultimate ice cream social’ in Los Angeles

In honor of their debut ice cream launch at Target on July 8thMuseum of Ice Cream is hosting the ultimate ‘ice cream social’ on July 15th, National Ice Cream Day. Hosted at Los Angeles State Historic Park, Museum of Ice Cream’s massive ice cream affair will include live entertainment, immersive games, interactive art installations and of course, lots of ice cream.

Over 2,000 guests are expected to gather in honor of Museum of Ice Cream’s favorite holiday, donning a whimsical dress code of exclusively pink and white. Guests will be invited to indulge in Museum of Ice Cream’s signature flavors, sharing pints, and exploring the toppings bar in a picnic-style afternoon.  If that wasn’t sweet enough, there will be a live performance by a top performing artist – soon to be announced! Last but not least, Museum of Ice Cream will be hosting ice cream socials at The Pint Shop in New York City and Museum of Ice Cream San Francisco that same day!

Over the past year, Museum of Ice Cream has cultivated its new line of ice cream, which is sourced from the highest quality ingredients and embodies the brand’s lively and imaginative spirit. The 12th annual Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appétit, presented by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits of Nevada, began with a pop on May 10, as some of the biggest names in the culinary world united in Las Vegas for a weekend of festivities at Bellagio, Caesars Palace, The Cromwell, The Cosmopolitan of Las VegasMandalay Bay, MGM Resorts’ The Park, The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas. Joined by more than 20 legendary chefs including Guy SavoyShawn McClain , Timon Balloo and Stephen Hopcraft, chef Masaharu Morimoto ceremoniously sabered a bottle of Prosecco at The Park, MGM Resorts International’s outdoor dining and entertainment district.

The Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Coca-Cola (NYCWFF) returns for its 10th anniversary October 12 – 15, 2017.  Including returning fan-favorites and an array of new soirées, more than 70 events will take place at locations across New York, with 100 percent of the net proceeds benefiting the hunger-relief organizations Food Bank For New York City and No Kid Hungry.  To date, NYCWFF has raised more than $10 million to support the fight to end hunger.

Mastercard cardholders will continue to enjoy the exclusive Mastercard pre-sale through Sunday, June 25.  Ticket sales open to the general public online at nycwff.org starting at midnight on Monday, June 26.

2017 Vegas Uncork’d: Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger are first female chefs to lead saber off

The 11th annual Vegas Uncork’d culinary festival  Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appétit kicked off on April 27, 2017, with the saber off, a tradition in which participating chefs saber a bottle of champagne. For this year’s saber off, chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger sabered a bottle of Perrier-Jouët champagne at The Vortex at The LINQ Hotel & Casino. According to a Vegas Uncork’d press release, Milliken and Feniger were the first female chefs to lead the saber off and, to recognize their support, they were given personal sabers to do the honors during the inaugural event. More than 15 iconic chefs including Frank Pellegrino Jr., Greg Sherry, Guy Savoy, Lorena Garcia, Rick Moonen, Scott Conant and Shawn McClain joined in the festivities were also at the event.

The 2017 edition of Vegas Uncork’d takes place April 27 to April 30 at various Las Vegas location, including Caesars Palace, The Cromwell, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, MGM Resorts International’s The Park, The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas.

Participating chefs include Wolfgang Puck, Alain Ducasse, Bobby Flay, Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro, Giada De Laurentiis, Gordon Ramsay, José Andrés, Julian Serrano, Michael Mina, Nobu Matsuhisa, Tom Colicchio, and Charlie Palmer.

New this year, guests can enjoy a Picnic in The Park at MGM Resorts International’s newest outdoor dining and entertainment district, and go on a mixology journey with Mariena Mercer at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.   • Lunch like a Spaniard with José Andrés at Jaleo (The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas), Friday, April 28: Experience a taste of Spain with internationally acclaimed culinary pioneer and innovator, Chef José Andrés. The poolside reception will include specialty cocktails, a live performance from the electrifying trio Simply Three, and a special appearance by Chef Lorena Garcia of Chica, set to open on Mother’s Day, May 14, 2017 in Restaurant Row at The Venetian.
