2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards: Harry Styles, Roddy Ricch are the top nominees

 iHeartMedia and FOX announced today the nominees for the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards, airing LIVE from The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Thursday, May 27 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live / PT tape-delayed) on FOX. The event also will be heard on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio app.

Now in its eighth year, the iHeartRadio Music Awards will celebrate the most-played artists and songs on iHeartRadio stations and the iHeartRadio app throughout 2020, while also offering a preview of the upcoming hits of 2021. The show will feature award presentations in multiple categories, live performances from the biggest artists in music, surprise stage moments and will tell the stories of the winning artists’ road to #1.  Since the Awards’ inception in 2013, the show has included live performances and appearances by superstar artists, such as Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars, Garth Brooks, Rihanna, Halsey, Justin Bieber, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Martin, Bon Jovi, Maroon 5, Camila Cabello, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Big Sean, Sam Smith, Madonna, Blake Shelton, Pharrell, Pitbull and many others.

Due to the pandemic, the 2020 live TV broadcast event of the iHeartRadio Music Awards on FOX was cancelled and winners were revealed for the first time on-air throughout Labor Day weekend across iHeartRadio stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio App. Among the many winners of the 2020 Awards were Lizzo for Song of the Year, Billie Eilish for Female Artist of the Year, Post Malone for Male Artist of the Year and Jonas Brothers for Best Duo/Group of the Year. The 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards also honored Elton John with the Tour of the Year Award for his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.”

2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival: lineup of performers announced

iHeartMedia announced the lineup for the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival, the annual legendary concert event on Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21 at Las Vegas’ hottest entertainment venue, T-Mobile Arena. This year, the epic two-day lineup will feature performances by Alicia Keys, Cage The Elephant, Camila Cabello, Chance The Rapper, Def Leppard, French Montana, Halsey, Heart, H.E.R., Miley Cyrus, Mumford & Sons, Tim McGraw, Zac Brown Band and more. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the iHeartRadio Music Festival will once again feature one-of-a-kind collaborations and surprise performances.

The Daytime Stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival will take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on Saturday, September 21 with performances by Juice WRLD, Maren Morris, Billie Eilish, Old Dominion, H.E.R., Zara Larsson, CNCO, Brett Young, FLETCHER, Monsta X, Bryce Vine and Lauv, with more to be announced. 2018 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour: lineup and tour dates announced

 iHeartMedia will celebrate the holiday season across the nation with its annual “iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour Presented by Capital One®” – the season’s spectacular music event, which captures the music and holiday spirit of the iHeartRadio app with performances by this year’s biggest recording artists. The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2018 Tour Presented by Capital One will stop in Dallas; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Minneapolis; Boston; Philadelphia; New York; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; Atlanta; Tampa and Miami/Ft. 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs: Shawn Mendes is the biggest winner

Shawn Mendes was the biggest winner, taking four awards, at the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs (formerly known as the iHeartRadio MuchMusic Video Awards), which were presented August 26 outside of Bell Media headquarters in Toronto. CTV, Much and MTV Canada had the Canadian telecast of the show, which was hosted by Awkafina.  Loud Luxury was the ceremony’s DJ. Virgin Radio broadcast the show in the Canadian cities of TorontoKitchenerLondonHalifax,Montréal, WinnipegEdmontonCalgary and Vancouver. The ceremony was webcast on CTV.ca, CTV GO, Much.com, iHeartRadio.ca and the iHeartRadio app.
Mendes winning the most awards wasn’t too much of surprise because the Toronto native was the leading contender, with eight nominations, going into the ceremony. Other winners of multiple awards were Drake and Marshmello, who won two prizes each. Logic featuring Cara and Khalid’s “1-800-273-8255” was named Video of the Year. Drake was named Hip Hop Artist or Group of the Year, while his “God’s Plan” video won Best Director. Marshmello was named Best EDM/Dance Artist or Group, while his “Wolves” collaboration with Selena Gomez took the prize for Fan Fave Single.
Mendes opened the show with “Lost in Japan” and closed the show with “In My Blood.” The ceremony’s other performers were Meghan Trainor, Alessia Cara, Halsey (who received the Artist for Change award), Bülow, 98 Degrees, Kris Wu, 5 Seconds of Summer and The Beaches. The show also had a few collaborations: Bebe Rexha performed “I’m a Mess” before teaming up with Brett Kissel for “Meant to Be.” Marshmello and Anne-Marie performed “Friend,” before Anne-Marie did “2002.” Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine and Tyler Shaw were the pre-show performers.

2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards: Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee lead with 7 nominations each

iHeartMedia and Turner the nominees have announced the nominations for the Fifth Annual iHeartRadio Music Awards, which will be held on March 11, 2018. at the Forum in Los Angeles. The award show gives prizes based on work released by the artists in the previous year. Thanks in large part to their smash hit “Despacito,” Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee are the leading nominees, with seven nominations each. The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards will be simulcast live on TBS, TNT and truTV at 8 p.m. Eastern Time/5 p.m. Pacific Time; on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide; and the iHeartRadio app, the free all-in-one digital music, podcasting and live streaming radio service. TV subscribers can also watch the iHeartRadio Music Awards on the truTV, TNT and TBS Apps.

Artists receiving five nominations include Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Camila Cabello, Justin Bieber, the Chainsmokers and DJ Khaled.  Performers at the show are to be announced.

For the first time ever, this year iHeartRadio will present seven awards in the seven nights leading up to the Sunday, March 11 telecast. Each night at 8 p.m. ET, an artist will be presented their award and give an acceptance speech.

Fan voting will determine this year’s Best Fan Army presented by Taco Bell, Best Lyrics, Best Cover Song, Best Music Video, the Social Star Award, Best Solo Breakout and the first-ever Cutest Musician’s Pet, Best Boy Band and Best Remix awards. In addition, fans will get to vote on social media during the show for winners of the Best Performance and Best Dressed awards, which will be announced immediately after the event.

Social voting for the Social Star Award and Best Fan Army presented by Taco Bell award began through iHeartRadio’s social sites and in the iHeartRadio app on January 9. Social voting for all other categories begin January 10 and will close on March 4, with voting for the Social Star Award and the Best Fan Army presented by Taco Bell award continuing through the evening of the awards on March 11. For the second year, the 2018 Best New Artist awards will be grouped by music format and format winners will then become finalists for the top title of Best New Artist.

Tickets for the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards go on sale to the general public on January 12 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time at ticketmaster.com. Partners of the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards include Taco Bell and Bioré Skincare, with more to be announced. The awards are produced by iHeartMedia and Den of Thieves. Executive Producers for iHeartMedia are John Sykes, Tom Poleman and Lee Rolontz.
